The truth is, sometimes you just have to say to yourself, stop it, dude. Get a grip, life is for living not wallowing. But sometimes you have to let yourself wallow first too - and then you get on with the living. And that's ok.
I'm having one of those times in life now. But instead of letting my losses or my failures crush me, I look at what I have and man - it is so much more than the failures. And I've failed a lot - like A LOT - so that's no small feat to actually have more wins. So as I enter into the season of gratitude, here's a short list of things I'm thankful for:
- my kids
- my faith
- my career
- my education
- my parents
- my siblings
- my family
- my Netflix account
- my girlfriends
- Target
- the sunshine
You know, in no particular order. When I can make a list of 11 things like that, off the top of my head - what do I really have to complain about. (Note: this does not mean I will no longer complain).
